Our Story

About Us: Chris and Alexandra met for a drink at Holy Frijoles Mexican Arcade in Hampden, Baltimore after matching on an online dating site on October, 25th, 2021. They clicked instantly and 15 minutes into the conversation, Chris said: “This is going really well. I’m off Saturday and I want to see you and take you out.” It was at this moment that Alexandra realized she had seen Chris before. Six months prior to their meeting for a date, Alexandra was having dinner at Nick’s Fish House on the Baltimore waterfront, when a handsome bartender (Chris) served Alexandra, her parents, and her maid of honor, Lauren. Three months prior to their date, Alexandra was having drinks with her close friend, another member of the bridal party, Nikki. Alexandra had noticed this same handsome bartender there and kept wanting to talk to him but alas, was served by someone else. Alexandra was at a point in her life where she was sick of dating and prayed for God to send her her future husband. On October 20th, 2021, Alexandra was on a first date with another man and all she could think about was if that cute new match, (Chris) had messaged asking her for a date next. As she left the date and got in her car, (parked outside Ottobar Concert Venue), she checked her messages to find Chris had messaged her earlier that day saying he was headed to a concert at Ottobar that evening to see Guided by Voices, with his brother, Alex. Alexandra sat there in her car thinking, “What are the odds? It’s a sign. Am I insane? I’m going in there”. After going in and promptly leaving right after, it would be yet another week for Alexandra and Chris to officially meet. When she sat there with Chris on October, 25th, 2021, when she realized who he was and put together the chain of events, it became very clear that God had been trying to bring them together for a long time.

The two became a couple almost immediately, moved, changed jobs, went through a few deaths on either side and it became very clear their connection was an ideal match. They both had been through some difficult relationships which required healing on both sides to offer the best of themselves to each other. The two developed trust in each other, fell in love and planned to marry almost a year into knowing each other. On January, 25th, 2024, Chris surprised Alexandra at McFalls Waterfall in Big Sur, California with her dream ring; (she even put it on her Vision board!) It was very natural and beautiful. Chris got down on a knee over a cliff and said: “This is going really well and if you’re not busy for the rest of your life, would you like to spend it together?” The question mirrored his first question on their first date together. Alexandra replied, “Yes, yes, yes, you Chris Frantz are the man I have been waiting for”. Almost three years to the day after they met, the couple will be married in Mount Vernon, Baltimore, MD, where Alexandra grew up and the couple currently reside.
